A Day in Rembrandtpark and a visit to Het Landje

As parents, we are always on the lookout for new and engaging places to take our kids, especially those that offer a mix of activities and can become regular destinations. Recently, we discovered Bouwspeelplaats Het Landje, located right in the heart of Rembrandtpark in Amsterdam West, and our daughter kept asking to go back to that place for weeks!

Rembrandtpark itself is a popular urban oasis that offers a much-needed escape from the city's busy life. Its central location makes it incredibly convenient for us, and the greenery and serene atmosphere provide the perfect setting for a family day out. We saw many people bringing picnics and finding cozy spots under the trees to enjoy some quality time together.

The name already speaks for itself—this place offers children the unique opportunity to build their own creations. Kids can construct something from scratch: from simple huts to towers that reach for the sky, and ships that sail on imaginary seas. You could see how absorbed all the kids were in their fantasy worlds, turning basic materials into magnificent structures. And of course, it's all done under the supervision of parents, so we can be involved and ensure their safety while they explore and learn.

Another highlight of Het Landje is their own pony club. Our daughter was over the moon about her first pony ride. It's a wonderful way for kids to connect with animals and learn about responsibility and care in a playful manner.

We enjoyed our day in Rembrandtpark, walking the paths and watching the birds. Het Landje was undoubtedly the best part of our day. It left us with memories that will remain not only in our photos but also in our hearts.
